Fallon

Okay, so tonight was my first shoot since Jenny had the baby, and I don't know why, but I was a little nervous. I don't know if it was because Fallon was 15, and I haven't shot many teens before, or if it was because Jenny wasn't going to be there to help me out. Either way, Fallon informed me that she was nervous too, but once we started shooting, our nerves were okay and we had a blast (if that makes sense)! We jumped in puddles, played with some construction cones, ate ice cream, and jumped some more, and sadly, I can't post all of my favs (I had 29), so enjoy a good portion of them:)

Leslie - I told you I'd have the pics up by 11 or 11:30, so I hope you haven't wasted TOO much time hitting the refresh button:)

She has some beautiful eyes. Also, no re-touching was done on the eyes in any of the pictures except for a little dodging here and there, they were actually that rockin!

This is one of those pictures I look at and wonder, what is she thinking about here?

Fallon really enjoyed the ice cream:)

These last 2 need to be hanging next to each other somewhere

And, yes, I know what you're thinking, but no, I did not re-touch the eyes

Randomness from the first few days

It's time once again to do a pic a day for my baby's first year. I captured at least one pic of Max and Ava every single day for their first year, so now it's Lia's turn. And, I promise I won't bombard you all with pics every few days of Lia, but know that I will be taking them:)

Note to Photographers: Today was a great day for me. All of these pics were taken with a D700, and while I haven't put it to the test fully yet (that comes on my wedding this Saturday), I can say that I absolutely love the full frame. Also, all of these images were processed in Lightroom 2.0, which just came out today. I don't know how much different it is yet, but I had to upgrade so I could process my RAW files from my D700. I will say that it has better cloning/healing tools, and a way better tagging/organizing system.

You didn't think I'd forget about Max and Ava did you?

Ava tried to eat the camera with her doggie:)

Introducing...Lia Michelle Solar

And my life will never be the same. It's been such a wonderful day. Baby Lia decided it was time to come out and meet the world at 11:58am. She weighed 7lbs 1oz, and was 18 3/4 inches long. Jenny pushed for maybe 1 minute total, so the lack of pain during the labor process made up for all the pain she had during the whole pregnancy process. Isn't it amazing how things work out?

Warning - The first image is graphic. I didn't get a chance to capture Max or Ava right when they popped out, so I made sure that I captured Lia's first moment in the world. It's pretty graphic, but after that all the pics are okay:)

Here's her first moment in the world...sorry if it grosses anyone out, but I love the shot.

Mommy's first moments with Lia

Even after delivering a baby Jenny still looks stunning.

She was wide awake for the first few hours...
and she already makes funny faces for me:)

One of my favorite shots

I held Lia while Jenny rested and a portrait session broke out:)

I want to blow this one up...VERY BIG!

Jenny already has her in cute clothes:)

Then it was time for Max and Ava to meet Baby Lia. Look at how much Max adores his little sister.

I had a bet with Jenny that Ava would smack Lia when they first met (I lost). Although, I prepared Lia for the worst as she tried to defend herself here.

Ava was very sweet to her little sister.

Max just absolutely smothered her with love, he's such a great big brother.

Sorry, Selena, I had to post this one, it's just too cute. Jenny and Selena are trying to make Ava laugh (it worked)

Here's a shot of EE holding her new grand-daughter for the very first time!

I can tell I'm going to have a whole lot of pictures like this:)

These next 2 shots are the reason we wanted to have another baby. Seriously, could my kids be any more wonderful to each other?

On a final note, Ava did whack Lia in the face within the first 45 minutes:)

Playing at Papa EE's

So, it's Saturday night, and I don't have a wedding. I really don't know what to do with myself, so I decided to post some pics I snapped of the kids yesterday.

Jenny still hasn't had the baby:( But, we did get to go see the funniest movie I've seen in a very long time...Step Brothers! If your idea of fun is to watch Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly act like 10 year olds for an hour and a half, then this movie is for you! Be warned, this movie has absolutely no plot, but it's funny as hell! Enjoy the trailer.

WARNING: It's the restricted trailer, so there is some foul language

Now for the pics.

Max sure loves Kobe. I'm glad that Kobe and Otis keep the kids happy until we can get a dog of our own next year.

Otis and Kobe play together sometimes...but not too often.

Max was showing Ava how to jump on the bed

She can pop out a baby any minute, but she's still got enough energy to tickle Ava.

Max wanted to get in on the tickling.

How can you not love mixing vanilla ice cream and apple sauce?

Have a great weekend, and who knows, maybe my next post will have some newborn pics:)
