Born: Latham

Being a photographer is the most amazing job in the world. I can't imagine myself doing anything else with my life. We get to freeze time when we press our shutter, capture moments that will never happen again, and bring joy to the lives of so many people. What I'm going to share with you all this evening was the coolest event I've ever gotten to photograph.

On Wednesday, April 23, Tasha was going to be induced and I was invited to capture the experience for them. This was going to be a new experience for me. I mean, I have kids of my own, and I was in the delivery room for both of them (and I didn't pass out, whew:), but to be capturing the birth of another couple's child was...let's just say that I felt honored to be included. I could go on and on about how cool this was, but right now, I feel that my words are falling short of what I really feel about the birth experience, so please, enjoy the slideshow!

Wii Action

Ok, so we had a wonderful get together with fellow photographers, Heather Cole and her family, and Kelley and her husband, Sam, last night. After dinner, we hooked up some Wii Action and the camera happened to catch quite a few amazing shots of all of us in all our glory.

I have to apologize to everyone who was involved in this slideshow as we ALL look like a bunch of idiots!!

Here's what to look for in the slideshow:
1. Heather & Sam during a crazy intense boxing match
2. Max up way past his bedtime (Jenny & I suffered the next morning)
3. Heather is very intense while playing video games
4. Jenny busting out the kick during the tight-rope walk
5. Some sweet DDR moves by yours truly (unfortunately we didn't capture my amazing spin moves:)
6. Heather & I in a heated Monkey Ball Hurdle race
7. Kelley bustin' some sweet moves on the DDR mat

The Adventures of Flat Stanley

One of our clients, Belinda, is a third grade teacher. One of their projects was Flat Stanley and she asked if we wanted to be a part of it. Basically, Flat Stanley got squished as flat as a pancake, so we had to take care of him for a few days. Here's a basic overview of what we did:

Day 1 - Max made him some clothes, and I took him out with me to Powell Gardens for Kate & Rob's engagement shoot.
Day 2 - I took Flat Stanley along with me when I drove around with Drew.
Day 3 - We took Flat Stanley to the pumpkin patch, and to Boo at the Zoo.

Halloween Party 2007: Slideshow

This afternoon we had our second annual Halloween Party! Nothing happens at the Solar household without a camera involved, so here is a slideshow of some of my favorites from the evening. Here's some fun stuff to look for.
