Zoey

Okay, so if you're a frequent stalker of this blog, you will recognize this cutie as Max's best friend Zoey. Tonight we had the pleasure of taking photos of Zoey, who is about to turn three. Let me just preface this by telling you how much we just LOVE Zoey. She is a sweet, thoughtful, kind, and beautiful little girl. So as you can imagine, we were really excited to take her pictures tonight. Here are a few of my favorites. There were so many great ones that it was hard to narrow it down...

This one is for daddy :)

Baby Pool Party & Bloglines

Last Saturday afternoon, since we didn't have a wedding, we decided to have some of our friends over for a baby pool party and a bbq. Of course, I never put my camera down and here are some of my favorites from the afternoon.

Ava

Zoey

Max dumping water on Zoey

Ava and Juliana finally got to meet

Max playing with Ava

Josh

Dumping starts to become a theme here!

Juliana (out of the water fight)

Max trying to splash my Nikon D2Xs (don't worry, I made it out okay and so did the camera:)

Baby Eli and Momma

Now comes the part where Jenny gets dumped on by everybody. It was fun trying to get these pictures with all of the madness going on and not getting the camera wet. By the way, if you hold a camera during a waterfight, people will usually not throw water on you!

Surprise!

"I see your Schwartz is as big as mine!" Dark Helmet - Spaceballs

It was all in good fun!

Max had to get her again!
And we even found time for a couple of portraits of the Millard Family. David was the one that talked me and Jenny into doing our first wedding all those years ago. So, for everyone who has loved their wedding pictures, you all have David to thank. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be doing what I do right now. Which would be a shame, because taking pictures for a living shouldn't be allowed to be called work.

Josh is the cutest darn kid on earth!

I want to recommend a wonderful website to you all. A lot of you guys read our blog, we get comments all the time about it. I would like to thank our friend, Kelley from Kelley-Photo for getting Jenny and I addicted to Bloglines. Bloglines is a program that automatically updates and tracks your favorite blogs. You create an account, then click on Feeds, then add whatever blog you want it to track. For example, if you read our blog all of the time, instead of just checking it randomly, it will show you when we post a new blog. All I can say is that my days at Best Buy are a whole lot shorter once I created my Bloglines account. It's the ultimate time waster:) Also, if you have a Mac, you can download a Bloglines Widget that allows you to see the number of unread posts in your Bloglines account at a glance. So easy, so much fun! Check it out, and if you have any questions about it, feel free to shoot me an e-mail.

Hilary & Jonathan's Engagement Session

Last Saturday morning I was nervous. Jenny had to stay home with the kids and left me to do Hilary and Jonathan's engagement by myself. Not that I can't handle it, it's just different, and I have to write the blog. I've noticed that if it doesn't involve my children, I can't write about it very well.

Anyway, we walked around the Plaza for a while and got some great shots. I can't wait until next June for their wedding in Lawrence! So here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

This is one of my favorites (Hilary went to KU, and Jonathan went to North Carolina:)

Reichen's Portraits

Yesterday we had the pleasure of taking pictures of little Reichen. He is just 5 days older than Ava and so cute! His dad does our website for us (thanks Dave, you're the best!), so of course we were super excited to do pictures for them. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from the shoot... Reichen wasn't handing out too many smiles, but we still caught a few :)

Trashin' Tara's Dress! (It's 2:00am and I can't think of a better title)

I’ve been waiting for a long time for tonight’s photo shoot. We finally got to do our second dress trashing, and this time it was with Tara & Ryan. We trekked on up to downtown Smithville, where we walked around town for a little while. Then we headed over to Smithville Lake for some rompin’ in the water. The water felt good since it was so freakin’ hot. We ended the night by stopping by an unfinished house in a new housing development where we found some interesting holes. Overall, it was a blast, and I want to thank Tara & Ryan for being so open to any of our crazy suggestions. I know Ryan had to be uncomfortable in his wet clothes, and Tara tired from lugging her wet dress! Once again, Drew & Selena came with us to capture it all on video. And once again, Jenny decided to keep something from the day’s shoot. Sorry Leslie, we will return your hairspray, and yes, Tara, we will return your sweet red shoes!

So, without further ado, here are some of our favorites!

I love how dirty their backs are!

Love the eyes!

Down in a Hole

Fun at Smithville Lake

Last night we headed up to Smithville lake to take some pictures of these awesome kids. We've known these guys forever so it seems (maybe it's really only been 7 years). Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

First up, the baby, Isabella... she's not really a baby anymore though...

We met them when Gabbie was only a year old and soon she's gonna be all grown up.
Celestino, such a little man...
Tonino, almost a teenager (scary!)
Mia... isn't she gorgeous?
Aaron and his beautiful wife Katie

And a group shot!

We love you guys!
