Paige's 3 Month Portraits

It always amazes me at how fast little ones grow up. I can't believe that it's already time for Paige's 3 month pics. It seems like a few weeks ago I was over there shooting her newborn shots. She's sooooo big now, and still so cute. We tried and tried and tried some more to get some smiles out of little Paige, but she wasn't having any of it today :)

Anyway, I'm sure that mom is eagerly awaiting the teaser shots from Paige's session, so here you go...

She was still napping when we arrived

Look at those beautiful blue eyes!

We tried the pool, and even though she didn't smile, this is my favorite shot of the day!

So cute!

I had to put this one on the blog...that quivering lip is so cute!

Emily & Scot's Slideshow

Please enjoy a slideshow from Emily & Scot's wedding, and another thanks to Heather Cole for second shooting this one with me.

Happy Birthday, Papa!

Today is my dad's birthday. It's tough to write about my dad. For those that know him, they'll know why. But, here's what I do know and love about my pops:

1. I can't imagine watching sports with anyone other than my dad. I don't mind the cussing or yelling (sometimes I get pretty rowdy myself), but I love the passion he has for his favorite teams.
2. He loves my mom so much. Sometimes he has weird ways of showing his love for her, but I know it's there and I don't think he could survive without her.
3. As much as he loves my mom, I think he loves Max, Ava, and now Lia (even though he's nervous with her) even more. It melts my heart to see how much Max loves going to Papa's house, and to see how Ava cracks up when Papa hides her baby doll down his shirt.
4. I know that without a doubt, whenever I need someone, he's there. We've had some pretty good discussions over the years, and I thank him so much for that.

I love you, Dad!

And here's a portrait I took of him this evening. He doesn't like to have his picture taken, and this is the only one I snapped (well, I got a couple of him holding Lia for the first time), but this is the only official portrait I took today. Whatever, I love the shot.

Happy 4th Birthday Zoey!

Yesterday we had a blast at Zoey's Little Mermaid themed 4th birthday party. By the way, we are available to shoot birthday parties, anniversaries, family reunions, or any other event where your family comes together and you want to have captured forever :)

Now onto the pictures...

Check out the sweet cake (and it tasted as good as it looked)!

Zoey looked awfully cute in her Aerial outfit!

Jumping on the bed always leads to funny pictures!

I love these next 2 shots a lot!

I caught Zoey putting her fingers in the olive to eat them. Always thinking, I asked her to put one on each finger and attack me :)

Lots of tickling going on!

Zoey was funny while opening her gifts. She would throw clothes out of the way to get to the toys!

Note to self: Give Nate an empty box and wrapping paper for his birthday. It's all he needs to be happy!

The water guns were a big hit!

Yep, he got the lens soaked...but it made it out unscathed and works great!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is why I always get good pics of your kiddos! Man, I love my wife!

Ava lost :(

Zoey was beaming while everyone was singing happy birthday to her

If Max and Zoey ever got married, these next 2 shots would be blown up and given to them as wedding gifts :)

A Glimpse into my past week...

So, here's some of my favorite shots from around the house over the past week...

Ava loves to dress herself, sometimes she does a great job...this was not one of those times (although, her boots freakin' rock!)

Max still loves Baby Lia

Lia still sleeps ALL the time (hey, I'm not complaining, I have an idea of what's coming)

Daily routine around the Solar household is pushing the strollers around the dinner table...

Ava loves it, too...

throw in some screams from the 2 of them as they are running and I wonder how Lia sleeps through it all.

Burp the baby...

love the baby

Yep, still sleeping ALL the time (still not complaining)

Ava still loves Baby Lia (have you noticed the theme yet)

What? A picture of myself on the blog! This only happens when I remind Jenny that the only other pictures of me and Lia are the ones she took of me on the day she was born over 2 weeks ago.

Big stretch in the morning

Sleeping again, in what looks like a very uncomfortable position

Cars, cars, and more cars

Pancakes!

Sometimes it's trains

More stretching...

more snuggling...

more sleeping...

more cars...

and finally, yep, more snuggling!

If you have a baby, you know how important it is to make a Baby Burrito, and if you don't, you should probably learn pretty fast...here's some help :)

Please take me home - August 12

Here's another installment of pictures from Wayside Waifs...so let's get to the pictures!

First up is Keefer. If there was ever a dog that needed a great home it's Keefer. I won't go into the details, but he's had a pretty rough life...and he's still happy as can be! We took him out into the dog park and let him run around for awhile and he's just the sweetest dog. I seriously can't express how badly I want to see Keefer adopted before my next visit to Wayside on August 29th. Who's going to make it happen?

Still Keefer

Last one of Keefer

I'm still getting the hang of cats, but I think this little one was pretty cute

Here's Munchkin...look into those eyes and tell me you don't want to adopt him :)

Lanore was awfully cute, too!

Here's Paco. He's a chug (chihuahua pug mix) and I almost brought him home :)

Sorry I don't know the cats' names. We do them so much faster than the dogs and I get them all mixed up :)
