Betsy & Jake's Engagement Pics

Sunday, we headed out to Loose Park with Betsy and Jake to do their engagement pictures. I thought it was hot on Saturday, but it was REALLY hot on Sunday! I guess this is what we are going to be up against all summer… Anyway, we had a lot of fun with Betsy and Jake… they have so much energy and passion for each other… we’re really looking forward to their New Year’s Eve wedding! Here are a few pics… (I think we got 1 or 2 serious ones :)

Okay, so here's the nice one first...

This is one of my favorite pics we've done recently

I was seriously was about to get in the fountain with them, they were having so much fun

Kristy & Ryan's Wedding

So Saturday we were up North for Kristy and Ryan’s wedding. In between the ceremony and reception, we headed out to the fountain at Vivion and Antioch, where Kristy and Ryan had their first kiss! We had a great time, even though it was really hot! Here are a few pics from the day…

While Kristy was doing this...

Ryan was doing this...

Kristy wore her tennis shoes all day... Maybe you'll start a new trend, Kristy!

The ringbearers were so cute... can you tell we have a soft spot for little kids?

I thought the streamers were probably the coolest exit I've seen at a wedding!

On Vacation...Another Wedding

What would a Saturday be without a wedding. Even though we were on vacation, and I was the best man, I just didn't feel right at a wedding without my camera in hand. So, here are a few pics from my buddy Brad and Dawn's wedding.

The kids at these events are so darn cute! I couldn't help but take a few pictures.

Here are some of my friends that I've known since I was 5.

I love California!

Jenny and I are having a blast relaxing out in California with friends and family. I convinced my Grandparents to go down to the Seal Beach pier for a little while and let me take a few pictures of them. Here are a few of my favorites. Aren't they so in love!

And here are a few of my favorite pictures of the kids playing at the beach.

And a couple of others from the Seal Beach playground.

Max, Ben Harper and Me

Okay, so if you know anything about me, the most important things in my life are my family & friends, photography, and music. So, a couple of buddies and I decided to take a little road trip on Sunday to St. Louis for the Ben Harper concert. Ben Harper is by far my favorite artist. He played for 2 1/2 hours or so, and near the end of the show I got this crazy idea about buying a poster, then waiting outside of his tour bus to see about getting it signed for Max. Max loves Ben Harper as well. My favorite song of all time is a B-side to the Ground on Down single called "Not Fire, Not Ice." I love it so much in fact that I play/sing it to Max every night before he goes to bed. So, the show ended around 11:45, and we walked over to the roped off area by his tour bus to wait. 2 hours later it was 1:45 in the morning, and Aaron and I had to work the next day, and we still had a 3 1/2 hour drive left, but out came Ben! I had him sign the poster to Max, then told him about how I sing him Not Fire, Not Ice every night before bed, so he wrote, "To Max, Sweet dreams to Not Fire, Not Ice, Ben Harper." How cool is that!! Not only did I get to shake Ben's hand and tell him how much his music meant to me, he let me know how cool he thought it was that I sang one of his songs to my children every single night!! It was an amazing night!! Thanks to Aaron for getting this pretty cool pic of Ben signing the poster.
