Jennifer & Gerrit: Married!

Reception Location: Heritage Hall
DJ: Craig Loftis with Elite Sounds

Yesterday we spent the day hanging out with Jennifer and Gerrit. They had a beautiful ceremony at Highlands Community of Christ. As a surprise, Jennifer's dad sang 'I loved her first' after he gave her away. After the ceremony, we headed over to Heritage Hall in Liberty for the reception. Here are some favorites from the day...

I don't know what was going on here, but Jennifer looks like she's having a ton of fun!

I told Jenny this was the next camera I wanted to get:)

Here is Jennifer's dad singing to Jennifer during the ceremony, such a sweet moment...

and here's Jennifer's reaction

I love when I plan a shot in my head, set it up, and then it turns into something completely different than what I envisioned. This would be one of those times.

I finally set up some off-camera lighting during the dances and here are some sweet shots of the father-daughter dance and mother-son dance.

There was so much love going around, even the ringbearer got in on the action

Jennifer and Gerrit's reception was a rockin' party! Everyone was smiling, dancing and having a great time. It makes our job easier when all of the guests are really enjoying themselves.

I don't even know what's going on with the Santa-pimp-red hats, but it was funny and made for some nice photos

I can't remember what song they were singing, but they were really, really into it!

It's been awhile since I've seen a good old cake smashin'

Even Grandma got in on the action

Of course, the rings

A serious one right before we left

A few of my favorite detail shots from the day. You'll see the gorgeous cake, the church with some nice flare, some pretty snow outside the church, the liquor they picked up from Sam's Club (shame I couldn't bring my camera in), and a nice message that the groomsmen wrote for Gerrit:)

Jennifer & Gerrit, I really enjoyed hanging out with you guys yesterday!

Natalie's Newborn Portraits

Today we had our first session with a brand-new (literally) client, baby Natalie, who is three weeks old. She loves to sleep, so we were excited to get a sleepy newborn session. But of course you know we are so exciting, that she stayed awake almost the entire time :). She was a great sport during the whole session and we had fun with Morgan, her big sis too. Here's a sneak peek for mom and dad...

Amanda & Bryce: Married!

Ceremony Location: Heritage Hall
Reception Location: Heritage Hall
Cake: Cakes by Combs
Makeup: CaraSue Hall

Yesterday we had a fabulous day with Amanda and Bryce! We had so many plans to go all over town taking fun photos. But then it iced and then it snowed. For hours. And it didn't stop. Most people would have just pouted and had boring lined up posed photos inside the ceremony location. But not Amanda, Bryce, and their bridal party... they were awesome about taking pics out in the snow and freezing! After everyone was dressed and ready to go, we spent some time in the Steeple Inn (where Amanda and Bryce were staying) taking some fun photos. We also ventured out into snow around the inn. On the way to Heritage Hall, we stopped at a few fun locations around the Liberty Square for a few more photos. Luckily, the snow finally tapered off and most of the guests were able to make it to the ceremony. Here are a few (well, more than a few:) pics to hold over Amanda and Bryce while we edit the rest (as usual, comments by Josh)...

Amanda, Bryce and the whole wedding party were such troopers braving the cold and snow.

I had never seen a groom juggling snowballs in a tux before. I can cross that off the list of things to see before I die. Thanks, Bryce:)

I love the "I'm frickin' cold, and I'm pissed at you for making me do this!" look on Amanda's face. Thank you guys so much for braving the cold weather for the sake of capturing some great pictures. I couldn't have asked for a better couple than you two!
