Engaged: Brooke & Matt

Dirty with lots of bug bites. That's how I left my session with Brooke & Matt this evening. Oh, and I'm exhausted and desperate for a good nights rest :)

But, we had a blast! Brooke had no problems walking through muddy, spider infested trees in a cute dress to sit on a dirty tree branch for me. She didn't even complain when I had her lie on her back in some damp grass. So, a big round of applause goes out to Brooke & Matt for letting me do what I do :)

I love this one a LOT!

Their dog, Daisy, tries to play tough, but she couldn't fool me :)

How cute is Daisy?

"Rub my belly for good luck"

So sweet!

My favorite shot of the day!

I have really been pushing myself lately to try new things, so what do you all think of this last shot?

Engaged: Christina & Mike

Ok, ok, let's get something clear right here, right now. All you people out there with upcoming engagement shoots with me listen up. YOU WILL BE OKAY IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA!! I WILL NOT HARM YOU IN ANY WAY!!

I'm tired of all of you saying:

1. I'm not good at this (doesn't matter)
2. I don't know what to do (that's what we're here for)
3. I feel silly (the sillier you feel, the sweeter the pic)

and so on and so forth, you get the point.

Take Christina & Mike. Mike was a little nervous at first (completely normal), but then he realized it's not so hard, and we got some awesome shots. We got to climb in trees, throw leaves, and basically act like kids again (which is always a good thing). So, on to the pics...

They are naturals in front of the camera, no matter what they say!

My 2nd favorite of the day!

Christina was a trooper, because it was not easy climbing into that tree.

My favorite!

I have to say it again, they were great in front of the camera...and moments like this one make me smile :)

Taylor & Mallory

I love when we show up to a session and see that the girls are wearing the cutest dresses EVER!! And, then, Mom busts out the cutest hats EVER that go with the dresses!! So, here's where we're at:

Cutest dresses + cutest hats + adorable girls = AWESOME SESSION!!

Sorry for all the caps and exclamation points, but Jenny and I had a blast playing with Taylor & Mallory this afternoon and I'm excited to share some of our favorites with you.

Seriously, if you are looking for some inspiration for an upcoming shoot, check out Taylor & Mallory's outfits :)

One of my 38 favorites :)

Taylor: "I can see your eyeball in there!"

Mallory: "I want to see your eyeball, too!"
I told you the hats rocked!

Mallory loved to ham it up for me :)

Showing some sass :)

I dare you to find cuter outfits. It's not possible!

What an awesome family!

They are soooo sweet to each other.

Watch out KC, we got some new taggers in the area. Note: Taylor wrote both of their names on the wall by herself!

The cheesy grins totally make this picture.

Just For Fun: Crissy & Brian

Happy birthday, Crissy!

It's late, I'm pooped, enjoy the pics :)

What a wonderful family!

Holcomb (sp?) had an awesome tongue...

and he loved his football!

Not to be outdone, Lucy showed off her tongue :)

This pic is soooo stinkin' cute

I told you he loved his football

Are we done yet, I'm tired :)

We wore the dogs out, but wanted to keep shooting

Beautiful flare tonight

I'm not opposed to shooting in harsh sunlight, I just don't do it very often. To get this shot, Brian decided to slide open the hangar door a little bit, and he noticed the little sliver of light. Great eye, Brian! I think the shadows add to the pic as well.

Jenny's favorite!
blog 3 of 3 done (12:56 am) - I would also like to point out that I just sat here and posted 3 new blogs on a Saturday night. Am I really getting that old? Really?

Engaged: Tessa & Alex

There are a few things in life that really, truly matter. We run around like crazy doing so much stuff that is so insignificant in the great scheme of things that I feel we lose sight of what's important in our lives. And then, something major happens, something unexpected, and it causes you to take a step back, re-focus, and concentrate on those few things that matter most. And those things are different for everyone. I ask all of you to just take a moment, right now, and hug, kiss, do whatever to the one you love most, because you never know when you won't be able to anymore. Which brings me back to my regularly scheduled blog post...

Alex and Tessa are so deeply, madly in love with each other. You can see it in the way they played with each other the whole session. It's in their eyes, their smiles, their index fingers, their tackles (yep, you read that right, their tackles). They are perfect for each other, and they know it!

So here are some of my favorites from my 2nd session of the evening...

I love how Brutus (their puppy) just couldn't stand not being in this picture :)

I LOVE this picture!

I love being able to capture details that mean absolutely nothing to a passerby, but mean everything to my couples.

Sooooo cute!

Who doesn't love to play football with their significant other...

and tackle them! Notice the top of Brutus' head in the bottom of the shot. He really wanted in on the fun.

Don't worry, Tessa got her turn, and Brutus watched, ears raised in curiosity, from the background :)

Tessa: I want to jump on you!
Alex: Really!

By the end of the session, Brutus was pretty tired :)
