Adoptathon

On Saturday morning, I had the pleasure of spending a few hours documenting the Adoptathon at Wayside Waifs. Now, normally, I'm there taking pictures when Wayside isn't open, so I usually see a few workers, a few volunteers, lots of cute animals, and that's about it. But, on Saturday morning, it was CRAZY busy! It warms my heart to see how many people volunteer their time and energy to help find all these beautiful animals good homes.

Here's a few numbers and we're on to the pics. The Adoptathon was from Friday through Sunday, and here's how many animals found homes:

157 dogs
100 cats
1 rabbit
10 animals waiting to go home
268 Total animals in 3 days!

It was by far the most successful adoptathon they've ever had!

Note - that doesn't mean they don't have any more animals that need to go home, so head on up and bring home a new companion!

Finally, here's a few of my favorites from the day...

Here's one of the volunteer/trainers working with the doggies

This little guy found a great home...

so did this guy...

and they took home a dog and a cat!

awesome! That's amazing that so many got adopted. I especially love the shot of the girl by the cages. Really cool.
#2 and 4 are great. I hope you don't go home with a new animal every week. :-)

So sad we missed you. Dave and I adopted a kitten on Friday night from Wayside! It's great to hear the drive was so successful!
Aw...I love it when animals find good homes. We got our dog at the Adoptathon last year year!
These are so great. I can't wait to see the rest! :)
Animals are no doubt important part of our societies and to take care of them is our responsibility. Your essay writing companies article really makes me happy. That I am also very much glad that people do care about these cute animals and try to do something for their better life as well. Good Job keep it up!
