Drew and I headed out for our monthly shoot on the last possible day of March. Since Jenny has been so sick it was tough to find time to do it, but we made it, and we had a blast. We headed out to Warrensburg, MO this afternoon and found some nice stuff. Check it out!
For some reason, it seems like I always run into a sweet vine-covered wall when we go out
I really liked these steps
By far my favorite shot of the day. And, we were definitely trespassing to get these shots:)
Something about this one caught my eye
And finally, Drew using his sweet, new camcorder for the first time. Notice how intense he is while filming:)
Next month we're heading downtown to do a sweet night shoot, so be on the lookout for that. And check back tomorrow for a doggie shoot, and Zoey. I'm out!

Random Shots, March 2008
Sunday, March 30, 2008
It's been a while...
since we've seen some shots of Max and Ava. These are also the first pics taken on Jenny's new camera (which she has yet to even turn on), but you know I couldn't resist:)
Ava is developing a very, very strong sense of independence. She refuses to believe that she's only 16 months old and she thinks she's as big as her brother.
This is the case with her clothes. She loves to dress herself, the only problem is that she doesn't really do a very good job:) Here she is patiently waiting for her cereal, and you will notice her valiant attempt at putting her own shirt on (I would like to add that she did put her own hat on after she slipped on the shirt)
After I fought with her to take the shirt off (I let her keep the hat on), she was enjoying her cereal a little too much.
In all honesty, she does a decent job of feeding herself cereal, as she has developed a nice 2 handed technique.
And, what would a post be of the kiddos without a shot of Max. Here he is laughing because he told me he was going to fart on me or something like that:)
And, this week is going to be crazy! Be on the lookout for lots of new blog posts this week.
Monday: Monthly shoot with Drew (weather permitting)
Tuesday: Newborn, dog shoot, Zoey (weather permitting)
Wednesday: rest
Thursday: Olivia (Heather's Daughter, weather permitting)
Friday: A Senior Shoot (Whoot, whoot, I need to do more of these, wink, wink)
Saturday: A wedding with either Heather or Kelley (I'm a lucky son of a gun to have the opportunity to shoot with such wonderful photogs)
And you'll notice, that I hate Missouri weather

Expecting: Tasha & Dave
I've been waiting for this shoot for a while now. I love to do maternity shoots, but haven't had the chance to do too many of them. I'm not a big fan of the naked-sheet draped over your body maternity pictures, it's not really my style. I want to go out, and have some fun! Bring some bright colored clothes, a loving husband, and a happy toddler (if you have any), and you have yourself the ingredients for an awesome photo shoot:)
So, I was glad that the rain held off for me this afternoon, although the wind picked up and made it a bit chilly for Tasha and Reichen. I wish it was a little warmer so we would have had more time to play around outside, but I think we got some great shots anyway. My clients are troopers, that's all I can say!
Enjoy the pics!
OOOOHHHH, Look at those eyes!
Here's what Reichen was doing while I was taking those last few shots, so I had to snap a few!
I love those curls!
You can tell how much they love each other:)
Reichen is one of the happiest little dudes I've ever met!
Thanks guys, and I can't wait to have a new little baby to take pictures of next month!

Thanks for Dinner:)
Beef + Manicotti + lots of Cheese = An Amazing Meal
A big thanks goes out to Sara/Sarah? I really don't know, and I don't know a last name, but it goes to show how nice people can be. I got this delicious concoction from Erica on Tuesday night, and we ate it on Wednesday:)
With Jenny being sick, we've gotten a ton of meals prepared for us, which, let me tell you, comes in handy when you're taking care of 2 little ones, trying to keep the house somewhat straightened, the business inline, and take care of an extremely sick wife:)
So, thanks, Layna for all the meals, Ty for cooking up some wonderful Hawaiian Burgers and whatever the heck that thing was you made for dessert, the Millards for the pizza and company, the Murlatts for that Italian Chicken dinner that was so good, my parents for an unlimited supply of food, and thanks to all the other people who I forgot to mention that may have cooked food, baby-sat or offered to do anything at all for us. Jenny is finally doing better, still weak and itchy, but doing better. Finally!
Okay, after typing quite possibly the longest sentence I've ever typed, I'm all out of words. Let's hope the rain holds off tomorrow so I can do a kick-ass maternity session:)
I'm out!

Doggie Pics: Bella the Basset Hound & 5 Doberman Pups
So I had another one of my free doggie sessions this evening, and once again, I'm tired. I was planning on coming home and running after we put the kids to bed, but I'm too sore and got plenty of exercise during the session. Doggies are hard work!
This evening was another first for me. Not only did I get to take pictures of an adorable 2 year old Basset Hound named Bella, but I got to take pictures of 5 Doberman puppies! I also learned a few more things.
1. Basset Hounds have awesome ears (for some reason, I never noticed this before)
2. Puppies are tough, have sharp teeth, like to bite, and are very interested in the camera, so I had to resort to some guerilla tactics to get some sweet shots:)
Enjoy the pics!
Meet Bella
Look at that tongue!
Meet the Dobermans
The puppies sure loved this frog, and this is one of only a handful of good pics with all 5 of the puppies in it
They were pooped from all of the playing
Hope you liked the pics, I'm calling it an early night:)

Eyes Open Project
I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter!
And while we are sitting here with are full bellies chatting it up with friends and family, please take a moment and think of those who aren't as fortunate as us. Then check out this link to the Eyes Open Project. Although I've never met Kirsten Lewis, I admire what she's doing, so check it out.

Doggie Pics: Brady
And, finally, my 3rd and final post of the evening, meet Brady. Brady is 10 months old and by far my most active subject of the afternoon. He was also very comfortable with me from the beginning, and actually gave me a fat lip:) It's okay, though, we got some awesome pics!
Before we get to the pics, here's what I learned today.
1. Loose Park is not a very good park to take doggie pics. There's just too much going on, and you have to keep your dogs on a leash because they'll just run towards all the other dogs, or kids, or squirrels:)
2. Just like kids, every dog has their own personality, and you have to figure out what that is, and how to get through to them pretty quickly so you can get some good shots. Let's just say, I'm still learning when it comes to dogs:)
Brady liked when leaves were thrown at him, and I did too. It makes for a great pic:)
I love this shot!
Brady, I hope you slept like a baby tonight after all that running around you did. I sure know I will:)
Doggie Pics: Miles & Sophie the Beagles
Next up are a couple of adorable beagles. Wait until you see their hops and tree climbing abilities:)
Meet Miles!
I loved his ears
Meet Sophie
Sophie "Wanted" these doggie treats pretty bad:)
Although not quite as fearless as Miles, Sophie liked to climb trees, too!
How cute is that tongue?
Thanks Miles & Sophie for playing with me this afternoon!
