Shoot Day: the Results!

So, yesterday was not only my 28th (man, I'm getting old) birthday, but it was also our first ever Shoot Day! I had a ton of fun meeting a bunch of photographers from all over the MO/KS area. Some of you came a LONG way, which blows my mind. And I still can't believe how amazingly warm the weather was!

Thanks to our models who went all the way back to the 80's for us...and a big thanks to Katie from Mink Artristry for taking them there :)

I have to say I was pretty nervous at first, especially because I was teaching everyone the basics about using off-camera lighting. But I think we all learned something and had a chance to play with the set up a little bit. I've seen some of your pics already and they've been looking great! I hope everyone had a great time, and honestly, that's one of our main goals. To just go out, have fun and shoot away!

On a side note, Kelley, Jenny and I are excited to be offering more of these mini-workshops in the future, and we have a few ideas, but we would love to hear about what specifically you all would want to learn about. So, leave a comment below, or send an e-mail to josh@joshsolarphoto.com with your suggestions!

Well, I want to share some of my favorites, but first I wanted to list out those who attended with links, so we can all see what everyone came up with. And, for those without links, if you have one, please send it to josh@joshsolarphoto.com and I'll update this post.

Here's a few behind the scenes shots. I wish I would have taken more, but oh well. The first one is showing how Kelley likes to have her models get run over by cars! In all seriousness, the cars swerved around us...and no one was hurt. Although we did get pointed at quite a bit :)

Walk Hard!!!
Now, here's all my favorite images from the Shoot Day. Again, I had fun trying new stuff and playing with my post-processing! I hope you all like-y :)
