Well, Drew and I cut it close this month, but we got our shoot in anyway. We ended up in downtown KC again, and I decided to take pics of the sky...

Doggie Mini Session Day
Yep, you read it right... we're having a day just for doggie photo mini-sessions. I know there are a TON of you guys out there who are dying to let Josh take pictures of your dog. Here's your chance to get your dog's pictures taken AND help out a great cause... the mini-session fee is $30 with a minimum donation of $20 to Wayside Waifs. We'll also be donating 10% of the proceeds from print orders to Wayside Waifs. Email me if you have questions or want more information. We expect to sell out all of the spaces quickly, so if you are interested, contact us ASAP!

Please take me home! - August 27
Yep, that's right, some more cuteness from Wayside Waifs. I ask all of my local readers to copy this text: http://joshsolarphoto.blogspot.com/2008/08/please-take-me-home-august-27.html. Good, now e-mail it to anyone who may be looking for a new friend to play with around the house. And on a side note, Kiefer found a good home last week, and that makes me happy :)
I forgot my notepad, so I don't know the names of the animals :(

Maddie's Newborn Portraits
I knew it was going to be great session today when we arrived at Maddie's house and found out they live across the street from a bright red airplane hangar. Of course we headed over there to snap a few family pictures. Maddie pretty much slept through the entire session, but every now and then she would peek an eye open :)

This is a good sign that she's going to be smiling for me throughout her first year, or it might be the only smile we get all year. I'll let you know in 3 months :)

Midwest Kids Fest Drawing Winner...
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and chatted with us at our booth yesterday at the Midwest Kids Fest. The winner of our free portrait session is... Stacy Allen!

Doggie Pics: Maggie & Buster
I always get done with doggie sessions and feel a few different things:
1. My legs ALWAYS hurt from the chasing, squatting, etc. that goes with taking pictures of dogs.
2. I get so excited to look through the pictures, and when I finally do, Jenny says I get the biggest grins on my face. It's because dogs are always so stinkin' cute, and when they get those tongues hanging out, it just makes me smile :)
Well, I'm sure Tina has been hitting the refresh button long enough, so here's the pics...
Meet Maggie & Buster. They are part Boxer, part Pit Bull, and all lovey-dovey-cuteness!

I know there are a lot of looking down shots, but, dang, when they look this cute, how can you not take 'em?
