As I was editing Kara & Jaime's wedding photos, this one just jumped right out and grabbed me. I felt that I had to share it with you all. Just look at the emotion in Jaime's expression as he watches his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. These pictures can never be faked and it's what I love best about weddings. Congrats, Jenny, this is such a wonderful shot!

Kara & Jaime's Wedding
Kara and Jaime have been excited to get married for quite awhile... They originally booked with us to shoot their wedding in April, but ended up having to push the wedding back a couple of months. It really meant a lot to us that they made sure to pick a date that we still had open. So, of course, we were really excited about their wedding and had a great time with them! They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Paradise Pointe, with the reception indoors. Here are a few of our favorites from the day...

Minnie Mouse-ka-Birthday Party!
Last Friday night, Max hung out with his best friend, Zoey. It also happened to be her 3rd birthday party. And, what a party it was! Zoey got to dress up like Minnie Mouse, and there was tons of Mickey and Minnie decor all over the place. As you can tell by the pictures, Zoey and Max had a blast. We had just as much fun trying to settle Max down to go to sleep an hour and a half past his bedtime. Thanks, Zoey!

Kelly & Rick's Wedding
Saturday was Kelly and Rick's wedding. They were married at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and then had an awesome reception at the Mission Hills Country Club. We had a great day with Kelly and Rick who were literally all smiles the entire day. Here are a few of our favorites...

We love pancakes!
Well, I think I have passed that love of pancakes down to my children. At least once a week Max and I make pancakes with my mom's recipe. It's quick, easy and they taste wonderful. It's so much fun having Max help me do all the measuring, and he loves to do the mixer (wish I could get a pic, but it's just not quite safe yet:). Ava seems to really enjoy them as well. I think she likes the squishiness (is that even a word) of them. They are also easy to chew if you only have two teeth. So, here are a few pics I got of the kids making and enjoying some of my mom's delicious pancakes.
Max measuring the flour (as you can see, he already dropped some:)

And trying to grab my camera
These were all taken with my new 17-55mm f2.8 lens that I absolutely love!! I can't wait to try it out at our wedding this Saturday.

Sarah & David's Engagement Portraits
We had a lot of fun with Sarah and David yesterday at Union Station - they were very easy going in front of the camera and you could tell they really enjoy being together. We're really looking forward to their wedding next month. Here are a few of our favorites from yesterday...
Maria & Jeff's Wedding
Saturday, we had the pleasure of shooting Maria and Jeff's wedding. Last year we shot Jeff's sister, Joanne's wedding. Their dad is a pro wedding photographer, so it really meant a lot to us that they asked us back for this wedding! Anyway, other than the sweltering heat (I guess it is August in Kansas City), it was a good day all around. Here's a sneak peek for Maria and Jeff...
I thought the kids were funny during the ceremony!

Tricycle Time
What can I say, we have tiny children. I have been wanting to get Max a big boy tricycle for some time now, his feet always seemed to be two inches short of reaching the pedals. So on Wednesday night, Jenny finally brought one home. We got him some sweet Hot Wheels knee pads/helmet set as well. Thursday morning, after breakfast, we took Max out to try his new bike out. He struggled up the hills, but once he got going he did really well. Anyway, enough typing, here's a sweet shot of him cruising on his new bike. Don't you love how his helmet is waaaaay too big?

Family Fun!
Just thought I'd share some random pics taken over the last few weeks. It seems like my children are growing up so fast. I can't believe all the things they do and learn and say. Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics!
Max couldn't grasp the 1, 2, 3, go part, so he lost every time. It's okay, though, I keep telling him that he should let the girls win everytime;)
