Photo Walk with Max

I love 55 degree weather in the middle of February. It gives me a chance to do fun stuff with the kiddos that you normally don't get to do in February in KC. So, today, Max got out his bike, and I got out my camera and we went about 1.6 miles around our neighborhood. Here's what we saw...

Can you tell he's a little excited?

This is basically Max's face when he's on a bike :)

Max asked me to take a picture of this dog...

same dog. I love this picture :)

Concentration!

Calling to the horses, but they never came :(

Daddy, daddy, an airplane!!!!

The Many Faces of Brianna

Today I met Brianna, my buddy's 3-month old daughter. I had fun seeing all the different faces that she made in just an hour's span. Here are a few of my favorites!

Such a happy baby!!

I had fun playing with some vintage tones in Photoshop, what do you all think?

gDiapers: Earth Friendly Hybrid Diapers

So, those of us that have kids know that they go through diapers like crazy. And diapers create a lot of waste. Now this waste ends up in landfills and can take up to 500 years to decompose! That's a LONG, LONG time.

Well, a few months ago, we saw one of our clients using something new for their baby. It was called gDiapers. Please check out the gDiaper website for more info, because they have all the info about how they work, why it's better for the planet, and where to buy them written way better than I ever could :)

Well, we decided to give them a try, and all I'm going to say is that so far, it's easy, and we can flush them down the toilet! And, even if we do toss them in the trash, they only take 50-150 days to completely break down!

EDITED TO ADD: If you are thinking of buying these diapers, I highly recommend ordering the starter kit and a couple extra of the 'little g' pants (the outer part) from the gdiapers website. Then, head over to Amazon and order the flushables from there. If you sign up for their 'subscription' they will automatically ship you a new case of flushables every month and you'll get 15% off plus free shipping!

And since I have to post a picture, here's one of Lia modeling her new gDiapers :)

Cookin' with the Kiddos

Cooking with the kids is always an enjoyable experience. They love to help me make pancakes. And they love to do Christmas cookies every year, but we decided to try something different this time. Max and Ava got this awesomely cool cookbook for their birthday from one of our favorite families, The Millards, and we decided to try and make some homemade pizza. Yumm!!!!

Lia was pumped!!

While still prepping, Max found a moment to love on his baby sister :)

Ava had to get a chair

Notice Lia eyeing the cookbook in the background

Yes, she couldn't wait for the pizza, she wanted to eat the book :)

Do not jack with Mommy while cooking. She will throw flour on you.

Give me that book...NOW!!

Ok, it's all good now :)

I apologize to Jenny ahead of time here that it was after nap and we didn't re-do Ava's hair. Deal with it :)

Yes, that is a glass instead of a rolling pin. We graduated from and lived in Grandview for quite a while, so it makes it ok :)

Finished! And for the record, it tasted wonderful!!

Scion Open 2009

On Saturday night, I got to head down to the Power & Light District with my good buddy Drew to capture some images from the Scion Open 2009 Tournament. A huge thanks goes out to one of my grooms, Fritz, for getting us a couple of hard to come by media passes. I was super stoked to be able to capture some images from all the kick-ass snowboarding going on!

If you didn't have a chance to make it out on Saturday, their was a HUGE ramp built right in the middle of the Power & Light District. It was 1 1/2 stories tall, 50 ft. wide, and 100 ft. long! They had some of the country's top snowboarders on hand paired up with the top amateurs from the day's competition.

Ok, enough chit-chat, here are some of my favorite images from the evening!

We were up on the platform for the warm-ups, and they had this wicked spotlight that gave us some really cool flare

One of my favorite images.

I got hit with snow a few times :)

This is my favorite image from the night!
